Hans Helle scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ken Stenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Stangnes Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjur Horten to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stangnes Youth Academy's zone, Aksel Aksdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stian Sundstrøm came out of the goal and Aksel Aksdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Stangnes Youth Academy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Gulliksen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 41st minute Hans Helle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Stenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stangnes Youth Academy's Stian Sundstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyrre Juul in the 56th minute of play. The referee gave Stangnes Youth Academy a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geir-Inge Neset, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Teisen I.F's Ken Stenberg. 1-2. If Kevin Gulliksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Stangnes Youth Academy echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Teisen I.F had held the ball for most of the match.
