When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 2-0 when William Bekkevold sped through Vardaberg BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eskil Hoel. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William Bekkevold was the one to do the kick off. William Bekkevold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eskil Hoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vardaberg BK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Andreas Aandal hit a great ball. Steinar Stein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Hoel having to interfere. In the 61st minute of the match Stian Sætren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eskil Hoel skillfully saved the ball. William Bekkevold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eskil Hoel having to make a save. Eskil Hoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Saastad in the 65th minute of the match. After 68 minutes of play, Fredrikstad FK's William Bekkevold made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eskil Hoel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Fredrikstad FK fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Fredrikstad FK's William Bekkevold looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tormod Bjørgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mikolaj Kiepski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fredrikstad FK fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Fredrikstad FK's William Bekkevold looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tormod Bjørgo in the 83rd minute of play forced Vardaberg BK's goalkeeper Eskil Hoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vardaberg BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tormod Bjørgo was slow to take the kick. During this time Fredrikstad FK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Stig-Inge Midtun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vardaberg BK's Eskil Hoel did a great save. 89 minutes into the game, Fredrikstad FK's Tormod Bjørgo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
