Teisen I.F's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Grunnfjord the free kick. Runar Fyhn hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Sigurd Skeide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finn-Christian Steinnes struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Ken Stenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Grunnfjord. FK Grunnfjord's Benjamin Dvergsdal got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kyrre Juul's late challenge caught a FK Grunnfjord's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyrre Juul helped the player get up and apologised. If Kevin Gulliksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyrre Juul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Svendsen having to interfere. Jon Svendsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Gulliksen in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Teisen I.F's goalkeeper Ken Stenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Dvergsdal. Teisen I.F's Ken Stenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finn-Christian Steinnes in the 30th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Kevin Gulliksen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jon Svendsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FK Grunnfjord's Jon Svendsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Gulliksen in the 40th minute of play. If Kyrre Juul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ken Stenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finn-Christian Steinnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to FK Grunnfjord getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Trym Ulland hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyrre Juul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kyrre Juuls short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Jon Svendsen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Finn-Christian Steinnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Stenberg having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Kevin Gulliksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teisen I.F's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Gulliksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Teisen I.F's Kyrre Juul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jon Svendsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 71st minute, Kevin Gulliksen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Teisen I.F's Runar Fyhn got a free kick in the 76th minute. Jon Svendsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Gulliksen in the 80th minute. If Aslak Jæger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Gulliksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
