Riddervolds's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Riddervolds's goalkeeper Ask Simonsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Georg Espeseth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon Svendsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Riddervolds's Ask Simonsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Riddervolds from getting a goal against them. Riddervolds's Georg Espeseth got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, William Vu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riddervolds's supporters rose to their feet, but William Vu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Svendsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Riddervolds were the better team. Riddervolds's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
