Stig Hartvigsen charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig Hartvigsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stig Hartvigsen hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Christoffer Dyrseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgeir Fagervold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kai Ottersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cato Frafjord, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, TRONDHEIM's Knut Waaler got a free kick in the 8th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Kings Park Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Salberg came free, but Christoffer Dyrseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kai Ottersen made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Andreas Gran sent off a good shot on target. Torgeir Fagervold hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cato Frafjord struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Kai Ottersen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kings Park Rangers. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Gran got free with Kai Ottersen in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kai Ottersen made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Isak Thygesen sent off a good shot on target. Stig Hartvigsen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Torgeir Fagervold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Dyrseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Salberg made a kick off. When Isak Thygesen came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Kings Park Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Thygesen couldn't finish the play. Gunnar Dyrøy lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 66 played minutes Kings Park Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Dyrøy. It was beautiful to see TRONDHEIM's Rasmus Nordanger in action when he in the 68th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Kings Park Rangers booed when TRONDHEIM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgeir Fagervold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kings Park Rangers's attentive Isak Thygesen managed to snatch the ball when Ingvar Bjørheim made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Isak Thygesen didn't quite understand what happened when in the 92 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Gran in the 93rd minute of play forced TRONDHEIM's goalkeeper Kai Ottersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Sigurd Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Ottersen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, TRONDHEIM failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
