In the 14th minute, one of Engelsviken:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Engelsviken. In the 20th minute, Andreas Aandal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Erlend Slettebø made a precise shot to the right of Eskil Hoel. Vardaberg BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Mahmood got free with Runar Lund in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute Jarle Lyngstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Runar Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarle Lyngstad in the 28th minute of play forced Engelsviken's goalkeeper Runar Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Marius Langhelle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Runar Lund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Erlend Slettebø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Hoel having to interfere. Torstein Horntvedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Mahmood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Runar Lund made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Finn-Christian Gjelsvik to make the kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Torstein Horntvedt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eskil Hoel having to interfere. Torstein Horntvedt charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torstein Horntvedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Marius Langhelle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Vardaberg BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eskil Hoel should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Marius Langhelle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vardaberg BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Langhelle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Runar Lund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erlend Slettebø might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eskil Hoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erlend Slettebø ran back to his position shaking his head. Andreas Aandal hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vardaberg BK's goalkeeper Eskil Hoel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Erlend Slettebø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Engelsviken were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
