Jon Svendsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Gulliksen went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 11th minute Finn-Christian Steinnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Stenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Teisen I.F's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Dvergsdal came free, but Ken Stenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Teisen I.F was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyrre Juul to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyrre Juul in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Svendsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Finn-Christian Steinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ken Stenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Finn-Christian Steinnes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ken Stenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martin Steen's late challenge caught a FK Grunnfjord's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Steen helped the player get up and apologised. Martin Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Ken Stenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Finn-Christian Steinnes's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Benjamin Dvergsdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Grunnfjord's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Dvergsdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Finn-Christian Steinnes made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Kevin Gulliksen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jon Svendsen skillfully saved the ball. Kevin Gulliksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Svendsen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Runar Fyhn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teisen I.F's supporters rose to their feet, but Runar Fyhn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Svendsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jon Svendsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyrre Juul, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Runar Fyhn fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teisen I.F's protests and gave Runar Fyhn a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Teisen I.F was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Runar Fyhn to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Teisen I.F's goalkeeper Ken Stenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Dvergsdal. If Martin Steen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Gulliksen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jon Svendsen having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in FK Grunnfjord's zone, Kyrre Juul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon Svendsen came out of the goal and Kyrre Juul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Kyrre Juul made a precise shot to the right of Jon Svendsen. FK Grunnfjord's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 77 minutes, Kevin Gulliksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teisen I.F's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Gulliksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, FK Grunnfjord's Ken Stenberg threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Finn-Christian Steinnes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 82 minutes of play Teisen I.F's Runar Fyhn was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Runar Fyhn kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Jo Guldbrandsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyrre Juul in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Svendsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Teisen I.F were the better team. Teisen I.F's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
