Eskil Hoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morten Haavik in the 37th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Finn-Christian Gjelsvik during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Morten Haavik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sølvguttene's supporters rose to their feet, but Morten Haavik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eskil Hoel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vardaberg BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sølvguttene the free kick. After 47 played minutes Vardaberg BK got a freekick which was hit by Victor Mahmood. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Morten Haavik to strike the kick off in the second half. Sølvguttene's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
