Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, August Gjeruldsen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tor-Arne Natvik was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. August Gjeruldsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Espenes in the 18th minute. Vidar Indergård could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but August Gjeruldsen made a huge save. In the 21st match minute, Sommarsæte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Inge Sandvær to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Aleksander Rydland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Fiksdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Sommarsæte got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Bartnes. After 23 played minutes Młode Smoki FC got a freekick which was hit by Espen Indergård. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Aleksander Rydland notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sommarsæte's Lars-Erik Fiksdal. Lars-Erik Fiksdal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Aleksander Rydland fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Młode Smoki FC's protests and gave Aleksander Rydland a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Młode Smoki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Rydland to maneuver through the defense. Arne Syvertsen kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Młode Smoki FC's zone, Emanuel Bartnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Gjeruldsen came out of the goal and Emanuel Bartnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Młode Smoki FC booed when Sommarsæte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Espenes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Øyvind Hvattum kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Młode Smoki FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aleksander Rydland to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Vidar Indergård mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sommarsæte and the Młode Smoki FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Vidar Indergård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Lars-Olav Hamnes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. August Gjeruldsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute Vidar Indergård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Gjeruldsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Rydland got free with Lars-Erik Fiksdal in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Espenes in the 72nd minute of play forced Młode Smoki FC's goalkeeper August Gjeruldsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Vidar Indergård had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of August Gjeruldsen. Młode Smoki FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vidar Indergård was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Vidar Indergård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Gjeruldsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Olav Hamnes in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Emanuel Bartnes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Młode Smoki FC's August Gjeruldsen. August Gjeruldsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Młode Smoki FC's August Gjeruldsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidar Indergård in the 89th minute of play. August Gjeruldsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidar Indergård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
