Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Kovlands IF from getting a goal against them. Jan Honningsvåg came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leonard Gregersen could save by the left post. Filip Vaksdal charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Vaksdal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Porto got a freekick which was hit by Filip Vaksdal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Preben Riis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anton Wetteland charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 87th minute Harald Rønningen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Wahlstrøm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porto's Kent Wahlstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Rønningen in the 92nd minute of play. The Porto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kovlands IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
