Molde FKNorway's Tolga Zengin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Molnes in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Linus Log notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Frengen's Øivind Storebø. Øivind Storebø was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dag Ringheim was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Molde FKNorway's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Torgeir Vangsnes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tolga Zengin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Molnes in the 21st minute of play. Øivind Storebø was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Asgeir Figenschau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Asgeir Figenschau really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 26th minute, Asgeir Figenschau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asgeir Figenschau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Øivind Storebø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torgeir Vangsnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 36 minutes, Daniel Elverum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Molde FKNorway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Elverum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Frengen's Arne Holm got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Alexander Rakvåg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Øivind Storebø showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Frengen's Torgeir Vangsnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolga Zengin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Asgeir Figenschau made the kick off in the second half. Øivind Storebø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asgeir Figenschau's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Tolga Zengin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgeir Vangsnes in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Asgeir Figenschau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Øivind Storebø was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asgeir Figenschau in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Øivind Storebø saved Frengen from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Frengen's Morten Gunnes got a free kick in the 57th minute. Øivind Storebø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Elverum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Asgeir Figenschau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Øivind Storebø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Molde FKNorway were awarded a corner. Alexander Rakvåg went to the cornerflag to take it. 70 minutes into the match, Frengen's goal looked a bit too open when Asgeir Figenschau came free, but Øivind Storebø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Øivind Storebø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asgeir Figenschau's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Linus Log got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Asgeir Figenschau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Øivind Storebø read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Molde FKNorway's Tore Meier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Øivind Storebø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Daniel Elverum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Øivind Storebø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asgeir Figenschau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torgeir Vangsnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Tolga Zengin made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Molde FKNorway players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
