After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Erik Bjørnå managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oshaugen BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Bjørnå was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Eiken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Rognmo in the 18th minute of play forced Storhamar Fotball's goalkeeper Erik Eiken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Jensrud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Theodor Vaage made a huge save. Theodor Vaage made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Stefan Jensrud sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Bjørnå in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Eiken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Storhamar Fotball defense, Erik Bjørnå kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Eiken. The Storhamar Fotball fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Eiken should have stopped the shot. Erik Bjørnå blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Eiken having to make a save. Erik Eiken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Bjørnå, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Oshaugen BK's Gustav Rognmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Eiken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Tage Nordseth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Storhamar Fotball booed when Oshaugen BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Hage didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Bjørnå stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Erik Eiken managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Oshaugen BK's Gustav Rognmo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Oshaugen BK's Erik Bjørnå got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustav Rognmo got free with Erik Eiken in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Storhamar Fotball's zone, Gustav Rognmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Eiken came out of the goal and Gustav Rognmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Erik Bjørnå got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Bjørnå in the 86th minute of play forced Storhamar Fotball's goalkeeper Erik Eiken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
