An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Åsmund Myhra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 17 minutes into the match, Maria Mena's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Esiquio came free, but Egil Hagen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Vebjørn Bjørnstad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sommernes FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vebjørn Bjørnstad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 22nd minute Vebjørn Bjørnstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Hagen having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Sommernes FK's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Hrebenciuc came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Marcu Hrebenciuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ståle Alfsen in the 29th minute of play forced Maria Mena's goalkeeper Egil Hagen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Hrebenciuc in the 34th minute of play forced Sommernes FK's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Vegard Mikkelsen put in a rough tackle. Vegard Mikkelsen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Vebjørn Bjørnstad notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Maria Mena booed when Sommernes FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ståle Alfsen didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Egil Hagen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vebjørn Bjørnstad in the 59th minute of play. With a little luck, Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Romualdo Gibert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vebjørn Bjørnstad in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Sommernes FK's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Romualdo Gibert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romualdo Gibert hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Romualdo Gibert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maria Mena's supporters rose to their feet, but Romualdo Gibert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Sommernes FK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Christer Westlie hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Sommernes FK's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romualdo Gibert. In the 82nd minute of the match, Romualdo Gibert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Óscar Cordoba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 91 minutes into the match, Sommernes FK's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romualdo Gibert. In the 97th minute, Yngve Tønder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 98 minutes of play, Sommernes FK's Raymond Silden made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egil Hagen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Sommernes FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maria Mena were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
