In the 9th minute Mathias Tufte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Mathias Tufte notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Skrellen Kings's Björn Borg. Björn Borg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Odd Skålevik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Inge Børresen made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Odd Skålevik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Inge Børresen, 1-1. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magne Tomter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Björn Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Tufte in the 24th minute of the match. The Deknepollen fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Deknepollen's Sten Hård looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sten Hård's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Björn Borg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Mathias Tufte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inge Børresen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magne Tomter in the 32nd minute of the match. Dan Aasberg kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Edvard Myller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sten Hård blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Björn Borg having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Deknepollen's Sten Hård sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Björn Borg narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 55th minute, Edvard Myller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skrellen Kings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 62nd minute, Mathias Tufte made a precise shot to the right of Björn Borg. Skrellen Kings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. When Jimmy Tufte came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Deknepollen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Tufte couldn't finish the play. Odd Skålevik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Børresen having to interfere. Deknepollen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Skrellen Kings fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deknepollen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
