In the 25th minute Fredrik Lægreid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Slyngstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trond Sandum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sivert Wennevold, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Brenne in the 31st minute of play forced Kilen's goalkeeper Trond Sandum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simen Martinsen's late challenge caught a Lokomotiv Såta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simen Martinsen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lokomotiv Såta booed when Kilen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lokomotiv Såta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor-Kristian Eidem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Tor-Kristian Eidem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trond Sandum. Kilen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tor-Kristian Eidem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lokomotiv Såta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! In the 92nd minute, Dan Stormo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Trond Sandum successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kilen's Trond Sandum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Kilen from getting a goal against them. After 99 played minutes Kilen got a freekick which was hit by Reidar Lauritsen.
