The supporters of Gædd FK booed when Puma IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Furuheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Jørgen Waage sped through Puma IL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John-Einar Jønsson. In the 18th minute, Tormod Suhr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Jørgen Waage dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of John-Einar Jønsson, 4-0. In the 23rd minute, Jørgen Waage reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John-Einar Jønsson. The goal made the score 5-0. Puma IL's John-Einar Jønsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jørgen Waage in the 26th minute of play. When Ken Ernstsen came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Gædd FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ken Ernstsen couldn't finish the play. Jørgen Waage was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Gædd FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hans-Petter Krogsrud kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Gædd FK's Jørgen Waage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John-Einar Jønsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Ådne Søndenå fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Myhrvold having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johan Låstad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Jørgen Waage had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John-Einar Jønsson. Puma IL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jørgen Waage was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. John-Einar Jønsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jørgen Waage, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Gædd FK's Jørgen Waage made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John-Einar Jønsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th match minute, Puma IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Furuheim to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Gædd FK's Jørgen Waage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John-Einar Jønsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. If Jørgen Waage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Puma IL's goal looked a bit too open when Tormod Suhr came free, but John-Einar Jønsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Jørgen Waage ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John-Einar Jønsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 17-0.
