The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tormod Kristiansen during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AC Wipes booed when Byggda IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tormod Kristiansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Roar Gjelsvik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Arnstein Worren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Byggda IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnstein Worren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stian Ekroll made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakob Bartnes in the 12th minute. When Arnstein Worren came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Byggda IL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnstein Worren couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, AC Wipes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf-Hendrik Birkeland to maneuver through the defense. Jakob Bartnes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Stian Ekroll skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Ulf-Hendrik Birkeland fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Wipes's protests and gave Ulf-Hendrik Birkeland a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes AC Wipes got a freekick which was hit by Ulf-Hendrik Birkeland. A collision led to Byggda IL getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Atle Bauer hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saffet Onatkan during the 33rd minute. AC Wipes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Jakob Bartnes scored to the left of an out of position Stian Ekroll, making the score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in AC Wipes's zone, Arnstein Worren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stian Ekroll came out of the goal and Arnstein Worren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakob Bartnes got free with Stian Ekroll in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44thth minute of the game Jakob Bartnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Wipes's Stian Ekroll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnstein Worren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Stian Ekroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 57 minutes, Jakob Bartnes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. AC Wipes's Stian Ekroll tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Bartnes in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stian Ekroll saved AC Wipes from getting behind. Sebastian Hamre's late challenge caught a Byggda IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Hamre helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AC Wipes getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sebastian Hamre hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, AC Wipes's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Bartnes came free, but Stian Ekroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jakob Bartnes put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Stian Ekroll. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakob Bartnes in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stian Ekroll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jakob Bartnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byggda IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Bartnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stian Ekroll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jakob Bartnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atle Bauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Byggda IL walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
