With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristen Stølan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Curtis United's goalkeeper Kristen Stølan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenneth Sandsmark. The supporters of 71° Up North booed when Curtis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Kvilhaug didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Stefan Hatlen fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curtis United's protests and gave Stefan Hatlen a yellow card for diving instead. Stefan Hatlen hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Yngvar Øvrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Kvilhaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Bruheim having to interfere. Curtis United's Kristen Stølan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Smestad in the 86th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Bertel Ådland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristen Stølan. Curtis United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertel Ådland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 71° Up North had won after a very even match.
