But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Berntzen couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Kåsmolia defense, Emil Berntzen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Nekstad. The Kåsmolia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Nekstad should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Emil Berntzen sped through Kåsmolia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lars Nekstad. In the 17th minute Kåre Breistein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Arty Benson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Theo Machado. The goal made the score 1-5. After the first half Λstral Villains FC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kåre Breistein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Anderson Zonta suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Kenneth Sommerseth's late challenge caught a Λstral Villains FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Sommerseth helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Λstral Villains FC booed when Kåsmolia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Sommerseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Nekstad was a little too slow when Emil Berntzen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-6. Lars Nekstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Berntzen in the 63rd minute of the match. Lars Nekstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Berntzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Nekstad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emil Berntzen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 68 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Berntzen in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Nekstad saved Kåsmolia from getting behind. In the 76th minute Emil Berntzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Nekstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
