Jo Øverås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Kleven in the 20th minute of the match. FK Dampsaga's Bakezda Mann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Bonet in the 30th minute of play. Daustad made a substitution. Ola Moland replaced Alberigo Mancini. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for FK Dampsaga. Robert Sandberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jo Øverås. 2-2. Claes Sundström hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Luis Bonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
