Wilco Korsma helped the player get up and apologised. Gerwin Zeldenrust kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Weed Excelsior defense, Jasper Zwarthoet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Smeekes. The Weed Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Smeekes should have stopped the shot. Hendrik van der Struijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gijsbert de Visscher having to interfere. Jonathan Seinstra hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Henk Stroobos didn't quite understand what happened when in the 39 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Marcel Toolenaar scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gijsbert de Visscher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Jonathan Seinstra notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Weed Excelsior's Thomas Smeekes. Thomas Smeekes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half hhc hardenberg were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Toolenaar to make the kick off. Gijsbert de Visscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Oorschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, hhc hardenberg's Roy Bust got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Henk Stroobos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weed Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Stroobos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gijsbert de Visscher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the game, Weed Excelsior's Marcel Toolenaar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gijsbert de Visscher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Henk Stroobos missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 71 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gijsbert de Visscher right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Elroy Jurjens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weed Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Elroy Jurjens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gijsbert de Visscher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Henk Stroobos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weed Excelsior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Martijn Oosterbaan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Toolenaar in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gijsbert de Visscher saved hhc hardenberg from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Marcel Toolenaar notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of hhc hardenberg's Gijsbert de Visscher. Gijsbert de Visscher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Weed Excelsior walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
