After a defensive mix-up in Woudenberg FC's zone, Boudewijn Schuurmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurits Weken came out of the goal and Boudewijn Schuurmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Woudenberg FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Boudewijn Schuurmans fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Boudewijn Schuurmans scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurits Weken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Monster Energy booed when Woudenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dries Sneijder didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurre Lever in the 25th minute of play forced Monster Energy's goalkeeper Ralph Vrieze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Boudewijn Schuurmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monster Energy's supporters rose to their feet, but Boudewijn Schuurmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurits Weken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 40 minutes, Boudewijn Schuurmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monster Energy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boudewijn Schuurmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 minutes of play, Woudenberg FC's Jurre Lever made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralph Vrieze was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mart van Zaanen struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Maurits Weken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monster Energy. If Chiel Dol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurits Weken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mart van Zaanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ralph Vrieze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurre Lever in the 65th minute of play. If Mart van Zaanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boudewijn Schuurmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mart van Zaanen, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 77 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Maurits Weken was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Mart van Zaanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jurre Lever managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woudenberg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurre Lever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralph Vrieze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chiel Dol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralph Vrieze having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Monster Energy's Dirk van Asseldonk got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Monster Energy booed when Woudenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Kroeze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yorrick Franssen, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Monster Energy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
