Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marco de Boer got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Berkum S.V.'s Patrick Heijen got control of the ball when Abraham Bemmel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Co Wijker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Co Wijker in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Heijen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Co Wijker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Patrick Heijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hendrik Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Zondervan in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Co Wijker during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Casper Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco de Boer in the 25th minute of play forced VVR Roermond's goalkeeper Hendrik Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Co Wijker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berkum S.V.'s Patrick Heijen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abraham Bemmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Co Wijker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Co Wijker to make the kick off. Abraham Bemmel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Heijen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Berkum S.V. got a freekick which was hit by Bill Blanc. In the 58th minute Abraham Bemmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Heijen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of VVR Roermond booed when Berkum S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Zondervan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Bemmel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Patrick Heijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Bemmel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Co Wijker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Berkum S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Co Wijker came free, but Patrick Heijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Bemmel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Patrick Heijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Co Wijker notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Berkum S.V.'s Patrick Heijen. Patrick Heijen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patrick Heijen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Bemmel's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco de Boer in the 79th minute of play forced VVR Roermond's goalkeeper Hendrik Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Berkum S.V. defense, Co Wijker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Heijen. The Berkum S.V. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Heijen should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Berkum S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Bemmel came free, but Patrick Heijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86th play minutes Co Wijker shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Patrick Heijen and just under the crossbar into goal. Abraham Bemmel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Heijen came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by VVR Roermond's Co Wijker. But to his dismay, Co Wijker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. There was no doubt that VVR Roermond were the better team. VVR Roermond's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
