Egede's Brain Cales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Alferink in the 9th minute of play. Twan Mulder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Mart Kuypers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Twan Mulder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brain Cales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Alferink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brain Cales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaap Spijker's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Brain Cales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricky van Aalderen went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Paul Alferink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaap Spijker in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brain Cales saved Egede from getting behind. Jaap Bemmel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Geert Meerdink made a huge save. The audience held their breath when Paul Alferink in the 35th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Brain Cales's left hand side. When ASC South United's Jaap Spijker in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Steve Zwartkruis fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egede's protests and gave Steve Zwartkruis a yellow card for diving instead. Brain Cales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Twan Mulder in the 48th minute of the match.

After a defensive mix-up in Egede's zone, Jaap Spijker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brain Cales came out of the goal and Jaap Spijker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Egede booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Twan Mulder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Alferink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brain Cales having to interfere. Geert Meerdink came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Egede's Dimitrie Niemeyer. But to his dismay, Dimitrie Niemeyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 63rd minute, ASC South United's Jaap Spijker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brain Cales. Brain Cales yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Geert Meerdink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitrie Niemeyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Alferink scored 1-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brain Cales, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 minutes, Jaap Spijker made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Egede's Brain Cales tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaap Spijker got in the 80th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Brain Cales handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Ricky van Aalderen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brain Cales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Egede getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Carsten Buckinx hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Ricky van Aalderen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brain Cales. The goal made the score 1-5. The Egede fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASC South United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
