Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Soerendonk HC from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the game, Taco de Cock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ulf Uter. Taco de Cock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bill Schiphouwer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thijs Heida in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomil Barys in the 37th minute of play forced Gramsbergen FC's goalkeeper Bill Schiphouwer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Taco de Cock made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ludomil Barys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soerendonk HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludomil Barys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Schiphouwer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gramsbergen FC's Bill Schiphouwer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomil Barys in the 88th minute of play. The Soerendonk HC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soerendonk HC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
