VFC D6's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Eulen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 minutes of play, Schoondorp AFC's Zhang De Wei made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demy Rieks was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to VFC D6 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. The VFC D6 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demy Rieks should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Zhang De Wei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Demy Rieks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute, Schoondorp AFC's Arjen Robben seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arjen Robben the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Schoondorp AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arjen Robben had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
