Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robin van Aalderen started the match with the kick off. Auke van As received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Alwin Baatenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Heythuysen getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Steven Waard hit a great ball. Lex van der Werff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ton Staarman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Heythuysen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Theo Tevreden was slow to take the kick. During this time PSV Eindhoven's players had a chance to rest. PSV Eindhoven's Theo Tevreden was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lex van der Werff in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Auke van As took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alwin Baatenburg to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the game, Heythuysen's Auke van As nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alwin Baatenburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Theo Tevreden kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Auke van As fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alwin Baatenburg having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Alwin Baatenburg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 29th minute, Steven Waard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alwin Baatenburg. The goal made the score 3-0. Alwin Baatenburg made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Auke van As sent off a good shot on target. Heythuysen's Otto Stroeve got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Theo Tevreden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lex van der Werff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ton Staarman in the 46th minute of play. Lex van der Werff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Tevreden, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theo Tevreden was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, PSV Eindhoven's Ton Staarman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lex van der Werff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auke van As in the 62nd minute of play forced PSV Eindhoven's goalkeeper Alwin Baatenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alwin Baatenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Stroeve, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Ton Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, PSV Eindhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Waard came free, but Alwin Baatenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Auke van As had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 minutes of play, Heythuysen's Steven Waard made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alwin Baatenburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute of the match Coos Hebert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alwin Baatenburg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adriaan van Steensel hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Robin van Aalderen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heythuysen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin van Aalderen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alwin Baatenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin van Aalderen in the 86th minute of the match. When Otto Stroeve came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Heythuysen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Stroeve couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Auke van As left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heythuysen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Ton Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
