Vincent Schaap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luc Hilhorst in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Denny Moorlag managed to get in a good position for a shot. Griet's supporters rose to their feet, but Denny Moorlag was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Ciuvică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Luc Hilhorst made a precise shot to the right of Vincent Schaap. Griet's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Luc Hilhorst sped through Griet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vincent Schaap. 24 minutes into the game, Radomiak Radom's Luc Hilhorst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vincent Schaap made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 28thth minute of the game Luc Hilhorst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Griet's Vincent Schaap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luc Hilhorst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luc Hilhorst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Schaap having to interfere. Vincent Schaap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luc Hilhorst's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luc Hilhorst in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vincent Schaap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Radomiak Radom booed when Griet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirko Weken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Schaap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luc Hilhorst in the 41st minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luc Hilhorst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Radomiak Radom's Harold Colen got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Radomiak Radom's goal looked a bit too open when Luc Okkes came free, but Stelian Ciuvică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denny Moorlag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Schaap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Buring in the 61st minute of the match. Vincent Schaap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luc Hilhorst in the 64th minute. A collision led to Griet getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ate Hertog hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Radomiak Radom's Niclas Sule broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vincent Schaap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luc Hilhorst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Vincent Schaap managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Radomiak Radom's Luc Hilhorst fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Bill Oosterveld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes, Geert Arend Rekers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Griet and the Radomiak Radom players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luc Hilhorsts short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Vincent Schaap to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the game, Luc Hilhorst recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vincent Schaap. Luc Hilhorst showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Luc Hilhorst managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Buring in the 95th minute of play forced Griet's goalkeeper Vincent Schaap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Luc Hilhorst notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Griet's Vincent Schaap. Vincent Schaap was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
