The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute of the match Real Ugchelen United FC got a corner. vv Hefswal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lex Wilhelm ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Real Ugchelen United FC's Lex Wilhelm to fire away a dangerous shot which Matthijs Jorna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Daniel Douwes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Yağız Heper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jelle de Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jelle de Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jelle de Lange who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Matthijs Jorna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yağız Heper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Douwes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Terpstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jelle de Lange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Matthijs Jorna made a huge save. The supporters of Real Ugchelen United FC booed when vv Hefswal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Ijksma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle de Lange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Matthijs Jorna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Ugchelen United FC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after vv Hefswal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lex Wilhelm took the corner.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jelle de Lange stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florian Roodenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Jelle de Lange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Real Ugchelen United FC's goalkeeper Yağız Heper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Douwes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Douwes during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Real Ugchelen United FC booed when vv Hefswal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Douwes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Douwes could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Yağız Heper however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Real Ugchelen United FC's Yağız Heper got control of the ball when Daniel Douwes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefano van Putten got free with Yağız Heper in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Stefano van Putten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yağız Heper. That made the score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. Danny Terpstra succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Yağız Heper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaas Smit in the 76th minute of play. Jelle de Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Real Ugchelen United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Smit came free, but Yağız Heper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yağız Heper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaas Smit in the 83rd minute of the match. The long shot by Geert Arend Rijaard in the 86th minute really tested Yağız Heper's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jelle de Lange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthijs Jorna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 played minutes vv Hefswal got a freekick which was hit by Florian Roodenburg. Real Ugchelen United FC's Yağız Heper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Real Ugchelen United FC from getting a goal against them. The Real Ugchelen United FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing vv Hefswal to win.
