Jorn Ponk was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. 2 minutes into the game, one of Sporting Skoekeloen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sporting Skoekeloen:s Martijn Geerts showed great skill when he stopped Coenraad Hofman:s penalty. Martijn Geerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coenraad Hofman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coenraad Hofman in the 5th minute of play forced Sporting Skoekeloen's goalkeeper Martijn Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joris Roelofs in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martijn Geerts saved Sporting Skoekeloen from getting behind. In the 20th minute Joris Roelofs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martijn Geerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Ramele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Aalberts to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Mathijs Zevenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Sporting Skoekeloen's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Plagge came free, but Martijn Geerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coenraad Bult received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ragnar Almqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Skoekeloen's zone, Joris Roelofs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martijn Geerts came out of the goal and Joris Roelofs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Henry Apotheker fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ramele's protests and gave Henry Apotheker a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Sporting Skoekeloen a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mathijs Zevenberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ramele's Ragnar Almqvist. 1-1. Martijn Geerts came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ramele's Joris Roelofs. But to his dismay, Joris Roelofs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Martijn Geerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Buckinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Sporting Skoekeloen's goal looked a bit too open when Joris Roelofs came free, but Martijn Geerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joris Roelofs was the one to do the kick off. Martijn Geerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joris Roelofs, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sjoerd Vervoort during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 56 minutes into the game, one of Ramele:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Martijn Geerts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joris Roelofs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 62 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Jan Buckinx made a precise shot to the right of Martijn Geerts. Sporting Skoekeloen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. During the 71st minute of the match Sjoerd Vervoort completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sjoerd Vervoort a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Sporting Skoekeloen booed when Ramele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjoerd Vervoort didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Joop Stühling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ragnar Almqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marc Plagge struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Martijn Geerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramele. Sporting Skoekeloen's Martijn Geerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Skoekeloen from getting a goal against them. If Remond Luikens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd match minute, Ramele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Aalberts to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th match minute, Ramele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harris van Bronckhorst to maneuver through the defense. If Mathijs Zevenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramele's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
