Spectators: 7950 (Terracing: 5964, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ruud Eulen kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giel Vledder in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Van Peel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Decathlon Dudes's Ruud Eulen got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giel Vledder in the 9th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Robin Van Peel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Van Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud Eulen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Derks's Robin Van Peel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud Eulen in the 17th minute of play. Giel Vledder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Van Peel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, FC Derks's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Eulen came free, but Robin Van Peel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Derks's zone, Giel Vledder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Van Peel came out of the goal and Giel Vledder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Giel Vledder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robin Van Peel. FC Derks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giel Vledder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Decathlon Dudes's Ruud Eulen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robin Van Peel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Giel Vledder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giel Vledder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Robin Van Peel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giel Vledder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Giel Vledder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin Van Peel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Robin Van Peel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giel Vledder's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The FC Derks players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Decathlon Dudes were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico-Jan Mülder to make the kick off. Giel Vledder came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robin Van Peel could save by the left post. Jeroen Wel's late challenge caught a FC Derks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeroen Wel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Jeroen Wel got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Decathlon Dudes's Giel Vledder in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Derks's goalie prevented a goal. Robin Van Peel made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Giel Vledder sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 70 minutes, Esmin De Beuf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Derks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esmin De Beuf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruud Eulen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. Giel Vledder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nico-Jan Mülder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Giel Vledder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robin Van Peel. That made the score 0-4 in the 83 minute of play. Giel Vledder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Robin Van Peel made a huge save. 91 minutes into the game, Gertjan Baatenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Derks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decathlon Dudes the free kick. In the 95th minute Ruud Eulen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Van Peel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Van Peel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Eulen, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Decathlon Dudes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
