When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Willemsen was the one to do the kick off. Arnout Kaspers hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Jan Willemsen came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Brunsting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Willemsen couldn't finish the play. Jan Willemsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Jan Willemsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brunsting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Willemsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klaas Jan Berends showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demy Brunt in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brunsting's Frits Deijnen got a free kick in the 88th minute. Kurt Harmsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Coenraad Zandee in the 95th minute. Brunsting were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Blerick for a fine match.
