Spectators: 8251 (Terracing: 6351, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hans Huisingh took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Michel Cremers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Proença stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim van Gaal's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maikel Wiarda got free with Miguel Proença in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Maikel Wiarda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel Proença. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Michel Cremers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruddi Elmfelt having to interfere. Hans Huisingh might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruddi Elmfelt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Huisingh ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 16 minutes, Marco Mook managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seagulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Mook was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Hans Huisingh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seagulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ruddi Elmfelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Mook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Cremers in the 29th minute of play forced La Isla Bonita's goalkeeper Ruddi Elmfelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Hans Huisingh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seagulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Wim van Gaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Miguel Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Michel Cremers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruddi Elmfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Hans Huisingh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruddi Elmfelt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 47th minute Marco Mook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruddi Elmfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Seagulls were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wim van Gaal to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruddi Elmfelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Cremers, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hans Huisingh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ruddi Elmfelt made a huge save. Lukas Pierewaaijer kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Michel Cremers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruddi Elmfelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Cremers in the 66th minute of play. La Isla Bonita's Ruddi Elmfelt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save La Isla Bonita from getting a goal against them. Seagulls were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after La Isla Bonita's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ben Rensenbrink took the corner. Ruddi Elmfelt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michel Cremers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 78 minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Seagulls's Marco Mook nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruddi Elmfelt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. In the 89th minute Marco Mook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruddi Elmfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Seagulls booed when La Isla Bonita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freek Wilhelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathijs Ruiter charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathijs Ruiter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ben Rensenbrink missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ruddi Elmfelt right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Seagulls left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Isla Bonita.
