Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Oliverios started the match with the kick off. When Douwe Peeters fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frytum's protests and gave Douwe Peeters a yellow card for diving instead. Douwe Peeters kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Mathieu Trenning struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Hans Geitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Saleen. Sjaak Abbenbroek kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Saleen's Bart Post got control of the ball when Paulo Oliverios tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Marcus Luijpers managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Saleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Luijpers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Geitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henk-Jan Beuneker hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Luijpers in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Geitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Oliverios hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Luijpers in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Geitz saved Frytum from getting behind. The supporters of FC Saleen booed when Frytum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjaak Abbenbroek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Oliverios hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Frytum's Sjaak Abbenbroek got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes FC Saleen got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Trenning. Marcus Luijpers struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Hans Geitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Saleen.
After a defensive mix-up in FC Saleen's zone, Paulo Oliverios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Post came out of the goal and Paulo Oliverios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marcus Luijpers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mathieu Trenning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hans Geitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, FC Saleen's Marcus Luijpers made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Geitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Luijpers got free with Hans Geitz in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Mirko Oevermans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hans Geitz. That made the score 0-4 in the 70 minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Mathieu Trenning recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hans Geitz. Mathieu Trenning showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Hans Geitz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcus Luijpers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 81 minute of play. Hans Geitz was a little too slow when Mathieu Trenning got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 91st minute, Mathieu Trenning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Luijpers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Geitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to FC Saleen getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Mathieu Trenning hit a great ball.
