In the 15th minute, Claude Helssen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to La Isla Bonita getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Christijan Luijten hit a great ball. Claude Helssen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cláudio Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maikel Wiarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Caseys Dreamteam 2's Finidi George in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ruddi Elmfelt had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristjan Vaarmann's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 40th minute, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Kristjan Vaarmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Cláudio Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonny Robbermond in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Finidi George made a kick off. In the 62nd match minute, La Isla Bonita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christijan Luijten to maneuver through the defense. Christijan Luijten hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ruddi Elmfelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finidi George in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Arno Dorner got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finidi George in the 68th minute of play forced La Isla Bonita's goalkeeper Ruddi Elmfelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Finidi George had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruddi Elmfelt. La Isla Bonita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Finidi George was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Kristjan Vaarmann got a free kick in the 81st minute. Jan Damstra kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Finidi George sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruddi Elmfelt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ruddi Elmfelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Abadie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Caseys Dreamteam 2 were awarded a corner. Kristjan Vaarmann went to the cornerflag to take it. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Kristjan Vaarmann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ruddi Elmfelt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Isla Bonita's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kristjan Vaarmann was slow to take the kick. During this time Caseys Dreamteam 2's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the La Isla Bonita defense, Claude Helssen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruddi Elmfelt. The La Isla Bonita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruddi Elmfelt should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Caseys Dreamteam 2 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
