In the 11th minute Arne Chamberlain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Rijkaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berkin Darcan might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Rijkaard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berkin Darcan ran back to his position shaking his head. VVS's Hubert Rijkaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bassi Adriaanse in the 14th minute of play. Arne Chamberlain scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Rijkaard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hubert Rijkaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Cornelisse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Agressor booed when VVS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Butter didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Hubert Rijkaard managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when FC Agressor's Arne Chamberlain fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. VVS's Hubert Rijkaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save VVS from getting a goal against them. Arne Chamberlain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Hubert Rijkaard made a huge save. In the 60th match minute, VVS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis van Hintum to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkin Darcan in the 95th minute of play forced VVS's goalkeeper Hubert Rijkaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The VVS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Agressor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
