Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1878, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brynn La Forte started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Menzel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Borgman came free, but Robert Czarnecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute, Izaak Moorman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 minutes of play, Menzel SV's Brynn La Forte made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hubert Rijkaard was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute, Carel Tellingen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Menzel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Verweijen came free, but Robert Czarnecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Rijkaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izaak Moorman in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, VVS's goalkeeper Hubert Rijkaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Galle. 26 minutes into the match, Brynn La Forte notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of VVS's Hubert Rijkaard. Hubert Rijkaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brynn La Forte received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hubert Rijkaard came out and tried to block the shot, but Brynn La Forte slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the match, VVS's goalkeeper Hubert Rijkaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Galle. The supporters of Menzel SV booed when VVS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rein Bessing didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, VVS's goalkeeper Hubert Rijkaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brynn La Forte. Menzel SV's Jun Misugi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hubert Rijkaard but with some difficulty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klaus Borgman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes VVS got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Borgman. When Klaus Borgman fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VVS's protests and gave Klaus Borgman a yellow card for diving instead. Klaus Borgman hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes, Menzel SV's Jun Misugi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hubert Rijkaard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Menzel SV reached it. Robert Czarnecki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Borgman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Menzel SV's Izaak Moorman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hubert Rijkaard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hubert Rijkaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Moorman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jun Misugi scored 6-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Rijkaard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute Bernt Galle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Rijkaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Rijkaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jun Misugi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VVS! VVS's Hubert Rijkaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Galle in the 82nd minute of play. Hubert Rijkaard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brynn La Forte went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Bernt Galle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Rijkaard having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Menzel SV got a freekick which was hit by Carel Tellingen. There was no doubt that Menzel SV were the better team. Menzel SV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
