Rudolf Meulman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Otten, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Casper Tinselboer's late challenge caught a De tulpen SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casper Tinselboer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Casper Tinselboer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arjan Spanjer didn't quite understand what happened when in the 21 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harm van Zomeren in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudolf Meulman saved SV Wissenkerke from getting behind. Harm van Zomeren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rudolf Meulman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjan Spanjer in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Harm van Zomeren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De tulpen SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harm van Zomeren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Arjan Spanjer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to De tulpen SC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ralf Kremer hit a great ball. Arjan Spanjer took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudolf Meulman. Rudolf Meulman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Godofredo Leyton hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in De tulpen SC's zone, Oscar Hilbrands stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Rein Driel came out of the goal and Oscar Hilbrands tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rudolf Meulman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan Spanjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the game Ralf Kremer made a throw-in which Arjan Spanjer played forward. After the first half De tulpen SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frits Berendt was the one to do the kick off. Rudolf Meulman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Manilan in the 50th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Manilan got free with Rudolf Meulman in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timoteo Manilan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rudolf Meulman firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of De tulpen SC booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Hilbrands didn't get a good kick on the ball. SV Wissenkerke's Rudolf Meulman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm van Zomeren in the 81st minute of play. After 85 minutes, Hans Buskes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De tulpen SC and the SV Wissenkerke players grew even worse after the yellow card. De tulpen SC's Hans Buskes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gertjan Baars, made in the 90th minute of the game. After 92 minutes of play, De tulpen SC's Harm van Zomeren made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rudolf Meulman was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Manilan got free with Rudolf Meulman in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. De tulpen SC played a much better game than SV Wissenkerke and deserved their victory. The SV Wissenkerke players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
