Zbyszko Jazwiec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 16 minutes into the match, Biervliet's Edgar Merenga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zbyszko Jazwiec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomás Moita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zbyszko Jazwiec firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ben Molenaar hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Edgar Merenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mark Saeijs was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomás Moita made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Moita in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszko Jazwiec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Huub Kramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zbyszko Jazwiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Scheveningen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aktan Aydıntan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Biervliet's zone, 顾思青 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rob Kort came out of the goal and 顾思青 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Scheveningen booed when Biervliet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Merenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Ben Molenaar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Tomás Moita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
