Maikel Lammers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Gio Elders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dries Bosz during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Northern Titans's Dries Bosz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gio Elders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Menno Heck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Arjen Saanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gio Elders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Northern Titans's Billy Hollander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjef Wagenaar in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Northern Titans got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Maurits. John Boer hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Richard Heerspink kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gio Elders. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Northern Titans's goalkeeper Billy Hollander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Maikel Lammers kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gio Elders. That made the score 4-0 in the 32 minute of play. The supporters of Hønefoss BK booed when Northern Titans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dries Bosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. One of Northern Titans:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hønefoss BK:s goal. The referee gave Hønefoss BK a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sjef Wagenaar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Northern Titans's Billy Hollander. 5-1. Sjef Wagenaar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Billy Hollander made a huge save. Richard Heerspink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
