Giannis de Vries blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Rein Driel having to make a save. In the 5th minute, De tulpen SC's Timoteo Manilan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Timoteo Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Arjen Kuipers with Arjan Spanjer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 13 minutes into the game, Giannis de Vries was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hønefoss BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De tulpen SC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Giannis de Vries hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gio Elders made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Timoteo Manilan sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Hønefoss BK's Gio Elders got control of the ball when Timoteo Manilan tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timoteo Manilan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gio Elders saved Hønefoss BK from getting behind. With a little luck, Hønefoss BK's Gio Elders got control of the ball when Timoteo Manilan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Hønefoss BK's goalkeeper Gio Elders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Manilan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Buskes in the 38th minute of play forced Hønefoss BK's goalkeeper Gio Elders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gio Elders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harm van Zomeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Timoteo Manilan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gio Elders was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sjef Wagenaar made a kick off. Gio Elders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harm van Zomeren in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timoteo Manilan in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gio Elders prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Timoteo Manilan put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gio Elders. When Carel Saarberg fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hønefoss BK's protests and gave Carel Saarberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hønefoss BK's Carel Saarberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 64 played minutes, De tulpen SC's Arjan Spanjer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gio Elders came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in De tulpen SC reached it. Gio Elders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Manilan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Timoteo Manilan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gio Elders was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Giannis de Vries was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Hønefoss BK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Giannis de Vries hit a great ball. Gio Elders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harm van Zomeren in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hønefoss BK's zone, Harm van Zomeren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio Elders came out of the goal and Harm van Zomeren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harm van Zomeren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gio Elders having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, Hønefoss BK's goal looked a bit too open when Harm van Zomeren came free, but Gio Elders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harm van Zomeren in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gio Elders prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harm van Zomeren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hønefoss BK's Gio Elders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm van Zomeren in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Harm van Zomeren managed to get in a good position for a shot. De tulpen SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harm van Zomeren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gio Elders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. De tulpen SC fully deserved thier win.
