Tomás Moita started the match with the kick off. Biervliet's Rob Kort proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Biervliet from getting a goal against them. Billy Hollander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Moita, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Richard Heerspink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Kort having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Merenga in the 11th minute of play forced Northern Titans's goalkeeper Billy Hollander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maikel Lammers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Rob Kort when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Northern Titans fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Northern Titans's Maikel Lammers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Moita in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billy Hollander saved Northern Titans from getting behind. When Edgar Merenga fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biervliet's protests and gave Edgar Merenga a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Biervliet got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Merenga. Billy Hollander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Merenga in the 25th minute of play. Florian Deuring charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florian Deuring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florian Deuring kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Roelof Busch hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 31 minutes Tomás Moita shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Billy Hollander when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Northern Titans got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Maurits. 32 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Deuring came free, but Billy Hollander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Edgar Merenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Hollander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Northern Titans's Billy Hollander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Merenga in the 35th minute of play. Billy Hollander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Merenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Richard Heerspink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rob Kort made a huge save. Rob Kort made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Richard Heerspink sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maikel Lammers to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Merenga got free with Billy Hollander in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Maikel Lammers sped through Biervliet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rob Kort. Billy Hollander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Merenga in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ab van Zwam got free with Billy Hollander in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pascal Som was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Menno Heck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Northern Titans made a substitution. Bert Struik replaced Maikel Lammers. With a little luck, Northern Titans's Billy Hollander got control of the ball when Tomás Moita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arjen Saanen during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arjen Saanen kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Edgar Merenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Northern Titans had won after a very even match.
