After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Mariano Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scheveningen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rob Kort breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rob Kort made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gertjan Graaf in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Jan Oosting could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Rob Kort however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Biervliet's Pascal Som got a free kick in the 14th minute. Zbyszko Jazwiec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Moita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Biervliet's Bart Pik was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zbyszko Jazwiec in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 38th minute of the match Scheveningen got a corner. Biervliet's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cyryl Ziemniak ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Scheveningen's corner Jan Oosting fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rob Kort quite easily take care of the ball. Tomás Moita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ab van Zwam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Zbyszko Jazwiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, Biervliet's Edgar Merenga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zbyszko Jazwiec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Oosting to make the kick off. Zbyszko Jazwiec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Merenga in the 52nd minute of play. Rob Kort made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Oosting in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Moita got free with Zbyszko Jazwiec in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Biervliet made a substitution. Henry Bakker replaced Bart Pik. After taking down the ball on Biervliet's corner Tomás Moita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zbyszko Jazwiec quite easily take care of the ball. In the 84th match minute, Biervliet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huub Kramer to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Biervliet's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Marques came free, but Rob Kort reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rob Kort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 顾思青, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Jan Oosting came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Scheveningen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Oosting couldn't finish the play. Scheveningen's Zbyszko Jazwiec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Scheveningen from getting a goal against them. Biervliet's Rob Kort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Marques in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Ziemniak in the 96th minute of play forced Biervliet's goalkeeper Rob Kort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
