The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Moita got free with Jan Rein Driel in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Herman Otten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biervliet's Rob Kort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Manilan in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Ab van Zwam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Rein Driel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jan Rein Driel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Merenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Hans Buskes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jan Rein Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ab van Zwam in the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Timoteo Manilan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rob Kort was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 32 minutes into the game, Timoteo Manilan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rob Kort was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jan Rein Driel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Alex Veldman hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Arjan Spanjer made a great header on De tulpen SC's corner, it was just that Biervliet's Rob Kort managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Biervliet defense, Timoteo Manilan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rob Kort. The Biervliet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rob Kort should have stopped the shot. Edgar Merenga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Jan Rein Driel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timoteo Manilan to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Merenga came free, but Jan Rein Driel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Rein Driel came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Biervliet's Tomás Moita. But to his dismay, Tomás Moita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Jan Rein Driel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ab van Zwam in the 59th minute of the match. Tomás Moita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Biervliet's Henry Bakker was substituted for Bart Pik. De tulpen SC's Jan Rein Driel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ab van Zwam in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, De tulpen SC's Godofredo Leyton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rob Kort made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. Biervliet's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
