In the 15th minute Valio Tammisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Mik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldinho Netto made a kick off. Westenenk were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Leiden Spor Kulubu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eddy van den Eede took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Leiden Spor Kulubu's goalie and right to Joop Koopmans. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Leiden Spor Kulubu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 56th minute Joost de Zaaijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaap van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folkert Engelaar in the 58th minute of play. Folkert Engelaar scored 1-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaap van der Schans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, Folkert Engelaar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jaap van der Schans. The goal made the score 1-3. After a rather tough play, Westenenk's Eddy van den Eede got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Folkert Engelaar came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Wieslaw Posadzki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valio Tammisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Harry Mik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wieslaw Posadzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Mik having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Leiden Spor Kulubu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
