After 17 minutes Westenenk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Werner Lokin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Japke Wielaert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaap van der Schans quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 21 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Zevenhuizen. With a little luck, Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans got control of the ball when Lucas Zevenhuizen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Westenenk booed when Steedshoger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arjan Roswinkel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Valio Tammisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kromme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Werner Lokin was the one to do the kick off. Westenenk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Posadzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mark Kromme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wieslaw Posadzki in the 65th minute. Jaap van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Zevenhuizen in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Valio Tammisto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Kromme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Jaap van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Blommaart in the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Steedshoger got a freekick which was hit by Japke Wielaert. After some careless play in the Steedshoger defense, Gervasio Lauaxeta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Kromme. The Steedshoger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Kromme should have stopped the shot. Jaap van der Schans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Werner Lokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Steedshoger's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Werner Lokin in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on Steedshoger's corner Werner Lokin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jaap van der Schans quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Posadzki in the 86th minute of play forced Steedshoger's goalkeeper Mark Kromme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Westenenk booed when Steedshoger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirko Wisgerhof didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Steedshoger's goalkeeper Mark Kromme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gervasio Lauaxeta. Westenenk's Gervasio Lauaxeta got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Zevenhuizen came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Westenenk's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
