When Şeref Yöner fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winnen's protests and gave Şeref Yöner a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Elco Zonneveld took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bayındır Mehmet Karhan to make any attempt to save it. Bayındır Mehmet Karhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diderik Stroeve in the 30th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Behzat Hazer made a kick off. Winnen's Bayındır Mehmet Karhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gust Swiggers in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Winnen's goal looked a bit too open when Behzat Hazer came free, but Bayındır Mehmet Karhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
