The audience thought a goal was coming when Gust Swiggers got free with Jeremias Alves in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute of the match Opsluis got a corner. Harkstede RKSV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gust Swiggers ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gust Swiggers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremias Alves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Opsluis's Elco Zonneveld got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jeremias Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gust Swiggers went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jeremias Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gust Swiggers in the 30th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Rieks during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gust Swiggers to make the kick off.
