Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerard Hoogsteen started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, sc de Jong's Jaap Themmen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Pik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerard Hoogsteen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Mathieu Roetering made a huge save. After a rather tough play, sc de Jong's Joost van Halst got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 18th minute, Christijan Germs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Norbert Balogh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mathieu Roetering. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Mathieu Roetering made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gerard Hoogsteen sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael de Ridder to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, sc de Jong's Izaak de Boer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hans Pik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Jasper van Beukering could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Mathieu Roetering made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Elco Kort ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Pik was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 42 minutes into the game, Jaap Themmen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. sc de Jong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GALATASARAY the free kick. In the 45th match minute, sc de Jong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elco Kort to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elmar Dam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, sc de Jong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izaak de Boer to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute Norbert Balogh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Roetering saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, sc de Jong's Elmar Dam dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Mathieu Roetering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper van Beukering in the 64th minute of play. Mathieu Roetering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Balogh in the 66th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Norbert Balogh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Mathieu Roetering was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernard Schrage's late challenge caught a sc de Jong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Schrage helped the player get up and apologised. Bernard Schrage kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Mathieu Roetering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper van Beukering in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Norbert Balogh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathieu Roetering was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper van Beukering in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when sc de Jong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elco Kort didn't get a good kick on the ball.
