Luuk Meppelink was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Codrin Matei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luuk Meppelink came out of the goal and Codrin Matei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Damien Schimmel fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zijdewind SC's protests and gave Damien Schimmel a yellow card for diving instead. Damien Schimmel hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match, Damien Schimmel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mathijs Tevreden saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Codrin Matei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luuk Meppelink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The referee gave S.C. Potentia a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roman Pitin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zijdewind SC's Luuk Meppelink. 0-5. Codrin Matei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luuk Meppelink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. When Codrin Matei came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the S.C. Potentia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Matei couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Rensenbrink during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Erik Rensenbrink got a free kick in the 37th minute. Lewis James took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luuk Meppelink. Luuk Meppelink dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Codrin Matei hit a great ball. Ben Oude Kamphuis made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C. Potentia's Roger Ijspol. After some careless play in the Zijdewind SC defense, Roman Pitin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luuk Meppelink. The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luuk Meppelink should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lewis James to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Contreras during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luuk Meppelink was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lewis James in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luuk Meppelink, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 75 minutes into the game, Lewis James cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Luuk Meppelink was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Codrin Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Matei in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luuk Meppelink saved Zijdewind SC from getting behind. In the 89th play minute Lewis James came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luuk Meppelink. 0-13. Codrin Matei let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 93rd minute shot 0-14 at rihgt post. The Zijdewind SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.C. Potentia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
